One lesson learned from our project experience would be to engage file vendors earlier in the implementation process to ensure complete readiness for kickoff. In hindsight, having finalized file specifications and the vendor consultant identified and available prior to the kickoff meeting with BenefitScape would have helped streamline discussions and accelerate progress.

That said, BenefitScape was very collaborative throughout the process and worked effectively with the information available. Their team was responsive, organized, and helpful in navigating integration requirements and coordinating next steps.

I think it would be helpful to have the vendor and partner provide a little bit more of project timeline support, not all teams have experts in file feeds or project management. Our projects have gone well overall, but if there are folks newer to the concept it would be supportive
