The team at Wise helped us through a major transition. We moved from bi-weekly payroll to both bi-weekly and weekly. We lost our payroll manager so they were able to pick up on projects that were started but not yet completed. Our company was also acquired so Wise was able to support us through the transition of breaking our system apart into Ready (for just time keeping) so we could push the files through to our new company’s payroll. They also assisted all of our employees with password resets, and getting into the systems.

When you set something up with UKG, if you find something that needs tweaking in the future and the project is closed for more than 30 days, you have to open an new ticket and sit in queue for a long period of time. Wise has better availability. And they are more apt to set up a project such that you might even be able to make your own tweaks in the future; whereas UKG sets things up sometimes that only UKG personnel can make changes to. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had some fantastic personnel at UKG that we’ve worked with as well, but it’s the luck of the draw as to who is assigned to your project. With Wise, you know exactly who you are getting, the quality of their work, and they are more readily available.

Wise has been tremendously helpful as we navigate UKG Ready as a UKG Pro-Ready hybrid client. One of the biggest challenges was navigating the roles/relationships between the partner (Wise) and the software vendor (UKG) – we had different leads on the vendor side for integrations, banking etc and sometimes it was difficult to understand everyone’s roles/responsibilities/accountabilities. So just get clarity on that during each meeting.

Include an outside consultant at the very beginning of an implementation. Have them join implementation meetings with Dayforce (or your whatever vendor/system you’re implementing). Make sure you have dedicated sources for implementing your new system which are separate from dedicated sources to keep your legacy system and processes running during implementation. This may require additional sources secured from your consulting firm. For example, we secured a payroll processor source from our consultant to ensure payroll continued to be processed in legacy system while we were implementing new HCM system.

We are fairly new to Ultimate Software and Becky Logan was the key go to person on all our Payroll year-end processing and some HR issues. She is also my back office person as am not able to access back office. Becky stayed up to date with all my tax reconciliations and was very on point with my 2019 tax closing and W2s. I learned everything from her about year-end and what I need to do throughout the year to make this as accurate as possible by closing. She has been a great help at every quarter closing and my company is looking forward to working with her for sometime to come as we get ready to open our Hotel next year.

You cannot go wrong with Wise Consulting! We used them initially to build out our training documentation and materials. They also then came onsite with two individuals to lead a two-day training of our decentralized HR staff. We also used them to train Corporate admins on Cognos report programming and writing – they again had a person come onsite for in-person training! We have also leveraged Wise Consulting twice more to build custom vendor interface files. Very satisfied with Wise!
