Slight change in team
What “Lessons Learned” would you provide to others implementing with this partner / software? What else would you tell us about your project experience?
I would recommend Workday to other people. Workday has a lot of efficiencies. However, I would recommend businesses consult with other companies that have implemented to ask questions, and companies be open to change management in processes for integrating them into Workday rather than build their processes directly as they are in the system. One example for our implementation was the job change process was built to have many stakeholders involved in approvals, and we were not aware how delayed this would make our organization in efficiently processing and approving promotions, job changes, etc. We still have yet to review the many processes that were implemented due to these inefficiencies. Also, it would have been good for Workday to have direct consultants partner with our organizations to simplification of processes prior to just putting a process that may work out of a system in place, directly into a system. Change management, really thinking through key factors such as time investment, speed, accuracy, and simplification of processes into the system are areas that needs more focus prior to implementation.
