Partner did not identify issues that came up during implementation and we had some change orders

What “Lessons Learned” would you provide to others implementing with this partner / software? What else would you tell us about your project experience?
We were assigned a Partner by the Software vendor. That was not ATS Consulting. The level of expertise and support from that Software vendor was not to our satisfaction. So, we hired ATS Consulting (upon the recommendation of one of my close business friends) and we have made great strides to accomplish the project tasks and nearing the end of the project (Live date-1/1/2023) . ATS Consulting came in with great consultants and has saved the day. We are very satisfied with ATS Consultants’ service and support.
Lessons Learned:
– Do due diligence about the project partner assigned by Software vendor before accepting their service
– Make sure that the project team assigned has the required experience to handle the conversion of the business needs
– Do a Complete analysis before any configuration
– Have Subject Matter Experts assigned and identify responsible SMEs for each domain to implement (this should be responsibility of Partner to maintain)
– lay down easy steps in the beginning before speeding up the project. This will help to keep client team focused and engaged
– Make sure the partner understands that the success of the project is not dependent on client only
– Partner should be proactive to lend support and not be reactive
