SCOPING ACCURACY:
How well did your implementation partner scope the work and understand your needs during the pre-sales process?

Team changed a lot
What “Lessons Learned” would you provide to others implementing with this partner / software? What else would you tell us about your project experience?
Since UKG does not have resources/consultants who understand the platform beyond a specific assigned module, it’s crucial for HR administrators to work with consultants who understand the workflows, processing and movement/accessing of data/documents throughout the modules. I can’t say enough how valuable it was to work with Christian and Ernesto. They were knowledgeable, resourceful, persistent and patient. As a standalone organization implementing the UKG platform, having to automate processes for the first time, the UKG training is time consuming and doesn’t embed understanding across PRO, Workforce Management and the various modules. It is during the process of configuration that a team has to decide how to update organizational processes to adapt to the available configurations within UKG. We can’t know that ahead of time or understand all of the nuances before being in the throes of configuration. Payroll is much more standard across organizations than HR processes and workflows. Each project should have a project manager, process flow and data flow documentation specialist as well as consultants working through configuration and testing with the client. This is my second experience with implementing UKG. The first one was 20 years ago. It was a much more complex process with an organization who had minimal understanding of the work required to go from no automation to predominantly automated workflows. Our primary consultant/project manager was most effective and helpful with payroll, but Christian Leighton was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful with HR processes.
