The process design phase lacked critical groundwork: “as-is” workflows weren’t documented, mapping activities were delayed,
and business rules remained incomplete. These oversights led to misaligned solutions and extensive rework, causing confusion
across teams and, in some cases, a regression to legacy tools.
A stronger focus on early documentation, stakeholder validation, and tailored design is critical to future success.
To improve future delivery, we must ensure clear documentation, retain design control, involve the right experts early, and
map “as-is” processes thoroughly before configuration begins.
