    We came to CORE HCM after our initial implementation of the UKG Pro Suite Software. Unfortunately, a lot of items were not correct, and we needed assistance to get the most out the software. We have been working with Jaime for over a year on our cleanup of the software. She is absolutely amazing and knows her stuff! Together we have made great strides in the cleanup and I know we could not have done it without her. We have a continued partnership with Core HCM and Jaime! I cannot speak more highly of this firm and would recommend them again and again.

She provided guidance and direction so we could make the best decisions for our company and how we could best use the software.     It is necessary to have the support of an outside consultant when implementing UKG. While we only used 80 hours of work, our consultant helped leverage the work that we and the implementation team had done, identified errors in the set up and help provide the exact lift we needed. Our consultant was knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant and easy to work with and a huge value add.

    As with any project, the consultants can only provide solutions to the extent that the business provides exact requirements. Any faults in the project were on our end as we were not entirely clear about the full scope of what we needed, but our consultant met us where we were and got us exactly what we needed at that moment. Main lesson learned is we need to provide documented requirements and then ensure we get full solution documents back so we understand exactly what was altered in our system and can ensure other builds consider any impacts with the existing builds.

    In our experience with UKG, the most significant lesson we’ve learned is the essential role of third-party consultants. They have proven to be a requirement for us to optimize our system to align with our specific business needs, particularly when it comes to BI reporting.

    Initially, we heavily relied on UKG’s customer service to assist us in building reports. However, this came at a substantial cost. After investing thousands of dollars in reports through their services, we realized that we needed external support beyond what UKG could provide.

    A lesson I would provide to others working with CORE HCM is to have all of the questions and open items ready for each meeting so that they can get as much as they can while working with the consultant. Brian has extensive knowledge of UKG, and having everything ready will make the most of their time. Also, take notes. Brian has great advice and small tips and tricks that will help a lot when the project is over and being able to reference back is important.

    The best advice I can offer an organization implementing UKG is simply to engage the best and the brightest partner(s) as soon as possible in the process.

    UKG supplies knowledgeable implementation resources who will ask many questions of your internal team. It is imperative that you choose a reliable and attentive partner with whom your internal team can collaborate to ensure all business needs are defined, articulated, and met.

    Recognize the difference between a facilitator and a partner as the former will ensure questions asked are answered while the latter listens and observes to proactively address the needs of the organization even when not explicitly requested.

    This approach will minimize the amount of time spent on reimplementation/optimization efforts later and ensure the organizational experience of the software is positive from the onset.

    Core HCM was a key to our successful go live with the implementation of Dimensions. They are very knowledgeable about the software and implementation process.

    Core HCM came highly recommended when our Real Estate Development Company transitioned from Bi Weekly to Weekly Payroll (added a pay group). Their ability to plan the timeline, break down the steps, organize weekly meetings, analyze and convert data and train the processes allowed us to make a seamless change and to learn several software features. Dana and April were very responsive to all questions and their knowledge of the UKG software is unmatched. If you are looking for a company to assist you to better know UKG – look no further!

    What “Lessons Learned” would you provide to others implementing with this partner / software? What else would you tell us about your project experience?
    I would suggest evaluation and re-evaluation of technology needs before implementing Cornerstone On Demand for recruitment and Onboarding. As an LMS they are top notch, but it doesn’t not meet all of our needs for Talent Management. UKG Pro is a good fit for our organization at this time and we are in discussions for expanding module use for onboarding. I would highly suggest using Core HCM as a partner, their knowledge of both systems, how they integrate, and how to solution issues or needs is definitely part of our formula for the success we have had with both systems.

    Core HCM was a supporting partner. They were able to manage my expectations as well ensure a successful implementation on schedule. The lessons learned as always is that you will have have hiccups with software transitions but having a consultant who knows the system as well as some of the implementation partners was key to our success.
