The implementation from the beginning with the initial implementation partner had many problems. It was only once Hennessey IT consulting was onboard, following a health check, did the revised program go as planned with their very knowledgeable consultants. Without Hennessey we would not have been able to go live. Since go live, Hennessey have been extremely helpful with current and future developments and additional functionality.

The Implementation, from the beginning with the initial implementation partner was fraught with problems and hence the lower scoring on the implementation question above. Only once Hennessy IT Consulting was onboard and tasks were re-planned, following a health check, did the revised programme go as planned with their very knowledgeable consultants. Previous to their involvement there were numerous issues with the build and config that resulted in many delays. Without Hennessy we would not have been in the position to go-live or plan future ERP (Business World) developments. The go-live was only the initial phase of the programme of work and in the years following we have continued to implement additional functionality e.g. Planned/Unplanned Absence, review Finance, Purchasing and Payroll processes, etc. and many of these have been supported, successfully, by Hennessy IT Consulting.

Too many missed configuration steps resulted in a number of immediate post GO LIVE issues which a partner (Hennessy Consulting) had to correct. Also a lot of issues occurred with views/AG16 jobs that were not converted from Oracle DB to SQL DB, which was part of the SOW. This caused issues a few weeks/months post GO LIVE and cost NUI Galway significant admin and technical time.

Our early experiences of the implementation and another Unit4 implementation Partner were not positive and it was decided to engage with Hennessy IT Consulting early in 2018 to undertake a Health Check on the implementation configuration to that point, support through the remaining implementation, go-live and then continue to support beyond go-live. I am happy to say that Hennessy IT Consulting continue to offer support to date. As mentioned the organisation had already experienced implementation issues and engaging with Hennessy, with their wider knowledge and experience was a breath of fresh air and the implementation would not have been achieved from that planned point without their involvement and support. Their not only supported the team and implementation but their training and knowledge transfer was beneficial in getting the organisation to where it is today.

We initially implemented Business World with a go live date in April 2017 with a different partner. We subsequently engaged with Hennessy IT Consulting who came in carried out elements of rectification and completion of implementation in other areas. We have since continued to work with Hennessy IT to continue to improve functionality use within the system and look to use this more widely.

We had a move and shift upgrade implementation but as part of that there were efficiencies and enhancements of workflows and processes completed. Detailed planning and testing were completed and an agile approach to new functionality was deployed. The project launched on time and budget with the required functionality.
