What “Lessons Learned” would you provide to others implementing with this partner / software? What else would you tell us about your project experience?
During the implementation we encountered large data discrepancies moving from our prior HCM to Workday. These discrepancies took almost 6 months to fully correct and flesh out. We also attempted to maintain our prior and current HCM platforms simultaneously during the transition. This was a major headache and did not provide a benefit. I would highly recommend a “clean” break and a quiet period where no changes are allowed in the systems. This would allow for a data review and a clean upload. I also would highly recommend having specific structure around compensation plans and job profiles fully completed before transitioning.

    1. Out of box reporting is a starting point, but will seldom meet your needs completely. Have people and time available to provide reporting.
    2. User training will take less time than you think; but train your HR team well
    3. Ensure a good ongoing governance process for changes post go live

If you’re going to do a Workday Ready Deployment ensure your internal team has extensive experience on Workday. Additionally, if your company is a global company be aware that the Workday Ready team only handles US/Canada.

Workday Ready will not do Time off Plans, Payroll, Reporting, etc. for any countries outside US/Canada.
